In which, the average export price of black pepper to some markets recorded a high level. high growth, such as: Ireland up 294% to 3,592 USD/ton; The United Arab Emirates increased by 79.3%, to 3,327 USD/ton; France increased 64.5%, to 2,978 USD/ton.

Ground white pepper in the first half of 2021, exports of ground white pepper reached 3.85 thousand tons, valued at 17.33 million USD, up 84.1% in volume and 114.1 % in value over the same period. 2020. In which, exports of ground white pepper to many markets increased, such as the United States, Britain, Australia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and South Africa.

According to statistics from the International Trade Center, Thailand's pepper imports in the second quarter of 2021 reached 1.53 thousand tons, worth US$7.13 million, up 3.4% in volume and up 18 .6% in value compared to the first quarter of 2021, down 14.3% in volume, but up 13.5% in value compared to the second quarter of 2020.

Vietnam's pepper market share in Thailand's total imports accounted for 76.96% in the first 6 months of 2021, lower than 77.83% in the first 6 months of 2020. In contrast, Thailand increased imports. pepper from Indonesia, an increase of 21.7% in volume and 14.2% in value compared to the first 6 months of 2020, reaching 460 tons, worth $1.58 million in First 6 months of 2021.
