   Local black pepper prices on 24th Jun 2021:

- Dak Lak, Dak Nong: ↗ 500 VNĐ/kg
- Gia Lai:↗ 500 VNĐ/kg
- Dong Nai: ↗ 500 VNĐ/kg
- Ba Ria - Vung Tau: ↗ 500 VNĐ/kg
- Binh Phuoc: ↗ 1000 VNĐ/kg

   In May, Global pepper prices increased in almost producing contries but the increase has slowed down. It is forecasted that in the near future, the global pepper priceS will increase, but the increase is not big, according to information from the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade).
 
   The report of the International Pepper Association (IPC) shows that the limited global supply of pepper is due to the reduced area of prroduction and low productivity. The cause comes from unfavorable weather factors and poor preservation skills.
 
   According to IPC, global pepper production in 2021 is expected to reach 555 thousand tons, down 21,000 tons compared to 2020. In which, Vietnam's pepper output is expected to reach 220 thousand tons, down 20 thousand tons compared to 2020.
