This morning 4/12, domestic pepper prices remained stable in the Central Highlands, down 500 VND/kg in the Southeast provinces compared to the same time last morning. Over the first days of December 2021, domestic pepper prices continuously fluctuated with 2 days of increase, 1 day of steady price and 1 session of slight decrease. The market in general is still quiet.

The latest report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shows that in the 11 months of 2021, although the export volume of pepper decreased (reaching 247 thousand tons, down 6.7%) but thanks to the average export price increasing by 54.4%, the export value increased. exports still increased by 44.0%. The above results show that pepper exports in November 2021 increased slightly compared to the previous month, decreased deeply compared to the same period last year, and were not as expected of businesses. Thus, the export milestone of 1 billion USD this year has not been achieved, and the total export volume this year is estimated to be 10% lower than in 2020.

According to the Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development, the export price of pepper has increased sharply, leading to a continuous increase in pepper prices in the domestic market. If at the beginning of the year, the price of raw pepper was only at 50,000 VND/kg by mid-October, it surpassed the 90,000 VND/kg mark and is expected to increase by over 100,000 VND/kg by the end of the year.
